Memphis doctors working to improve cancer detection

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal diseases, with little treatment available. Each year roughly 44,000 Americans die from pancreatic cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. Researchers at the UT Health Science Center Lab hope their work will finally lead to a way to detect pancreatic cancer sooner.

The main campus in Memphis generated approximately $3 billion, or 74 percent of the total economic impact. The medical college employs more than 23,900 people at its Memphis campus.

UT- Methodist Transplant Institute Names Director of Research
