Dustin Fulton has been named associate director of Student Affairs for Conduct and Community Standards and Student Conduct Officer in Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He will begin his new role May 1.
Fulton has been with UTHSC since 2014. In this new role, he will provide leadership for the university student disciplinary system for academic and non-academic concerns. He will represent the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services by interfacing with faculty, staff, and students from various colleges and departments, as well as parents, alumni, and off-campus constituents. Additionally, he will develop programming, conduct training, and serve as the designated Deputy Title IX Coordinator for students.
He will report to Darrylinn Todd, EdD, interim associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at UTHSC. “Dustin has done exceptional work in the investigation and resolution of student code of conduct and Title IX cases in the Office of Equity and Diversity for several years,” she said. “I am pleased that he will continue these roles, while also overseeing the development of programming and training for the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services.”
Fulton has a background in compliance and student conduct in higher education, as well as professional experience in the private sector. Most recently, he has held positions as senior equity assurance administrator and deputy conduct and compliance officer in the Office of Equity and Diversity at UTHSC. He has been responsible for student conduct administration, training for the university community, conducting investigations, and providing direction in the evaluation of concerns of relevant to Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX.
Fulton is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and earned a master’s degree in Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Student Personnel from the University of Memphis.
